Saffron

Saffron comes from the pistils of the plant Crocus Sativus. This saffron comes from Iran, its main supplier. It is dark in color, aromatic, and gives off a lot of flavor. One kilogram of dried saffron consists of about 150,000 to 400,000 of these pistils and is picked by hand. Available in jars of 10 grams.
